If you have private health insurance, cataract treatments are performed unilaterally (one at a time) and include a monofocal intraocular lens, similar to those offered when receiving treatment in the NHS. These intraocular lenses have a single point of focus and will rejuvenate a patient’s vision, solving the symptoms caused by cataracts.

In addition, these lenses are measured and calculated to correct existing short-sight and long-sight, which may potentially reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses at some distances.

Patients can independently choose to upgrade to our enhanced and premium cataract procedures

These can benefit patients if they have astigmatism or would like to improve their intermediate and/or near vision.

Our surgeons will recommend the best solution after carefully evaluating each individual’s clinical and vision needs based on daily activities, lifestyle and aspirations.
